Meeting with the founders of Studio Glow on the 29th

Can you introduce yourselves and tell us about your backgrounds?

Katell: I am Katell Delahaye, I am passionate about fashion and I created my first multi-brand designer boutique in 2005 in Saint-Malo, “Le 29”. The concept worked very well and I now have 3 women’s ready-to-wear boutiques between Saint-Malo and Dinard. A year and a half ago, my daughter, Emma, joined me in my entrepreneurial adventures and opened a high-end second-hand boutique, “Le 29 Vintage”. To keep this great momentum going, I took a wild gamble on a brand-new concept: opening a space dedicated to beauty.

Fabienne: My name is Fabienne Croc, I have been a designer/creator of skincare protocols for over 20 years. I support brands with training, as well as hotel groups, institutes, and spas. In 2020, I became a naturopath to support women who are affected by their hormones.

How was the Studio Glow du 29 adventure born?

Katell: After all these years in fashion, and then in luxury second-hand, I wanted to further diversify the offering around well-being and beauty for women.

Fabienne: This adventure didn't start today; it dates back more than 5 or 6 years. Katell, who is a childhood friend, really wanted to create a skincare space for women, so she commissioned me to support her on this wonderful project.

What role does beauty play in each of your lives?

Katell and Fabienne: We are both the same age; it’s true that skin changes a lot at 50, and we can find non-invasive skincare methods to compensate for the epidermis's deficiencies. Beauty therefore takes up a fair amount of space in our lives because we love having beautiful skin, especially a very fresh complexion that exudes health, and if possible, nice firmness in the face's oval shape, sparkling eyes…

How and why did you decide to offer the Alaena Range at Studio Glow du 29?

Katell: I have always offered unique, quality products in each of my boutiques. I wanted to do the same at the Studio. Alaena is a French brand that offers products formulated with natural, certified organic ingredients, and that is essential for me.

Fabienne: I discovered Alaena in 2020, and I immediately fell for the scent, which is simply addictive, the ultra-comfortable texture, the presentation, the look, and also the effectiveness of the products. I was also drawn to the fact that they are organic, free of endocrine disruptors, free of mineral oils… Furthermore, this brand comes from the seaside, so we are in an oceanic climate similar to that of Brittany.
