Spa Alaena opens in La Baule
6 min. read
Long associated with its Belle Époque villas, long sandy beaches, and seaside elegance, La Baule is experiencing a true renaissance today. A new generation of hoteliers, chefs, and creatives are reinterpreting the resort's identity with a contemporary vision, without ever betraying its history. It is in this context that Les Cimes Bleues, the first establishment of La French Collection, Groupe Giboire's new hotel brand, is opening.
A re-imagined Bauloise house
Just a few steps from the ocean, in the heart of the La Baule-les-Pins district, Les Cimes Bleues does not seek to impress. The hotel prioritizes warm hospitality, conceived as a large house open all year round where guests come as much to stay as to share lunch, have a drink, book a treatment, or simply enjoy the atmosphere.

Designed by interior architect Dorothée Delaye, the place draws inspiration from the codes of Bauloise houses while bringing a resolutely contemporary touch. The curves of the facades recall the movement of waves, while natural materials, soft lines, and plays of light extend the landscape into the interior spaces.

A destination designed for experiencing La Baule differently
The colors evoke the Atlantic, the golf greens, or the clay tennis courts. Every detail echoes the resort's identity: the headboards, custom-designed furniture, and bathrooms evoke the world of the great Bauloise Derbies that have punctuated local life for decades.

Scapa celebrates Italian cuisine by showcasing the best products from the Atlantic coast: fish from nearby fish markets, vegetables from Nantes market gardeners, Guérande salt, and La Turballe lobsters. A few minutes' walk away, La Cabane Bauloise offers a completely different atmosphere. Facing the beach, this address quickly becomes a meeting point for both Baulois and travelers, offering shared cuisine, sunsets, and a terrace open to the ocean.

The first Alaena Spa opens in La Baule
The opening of Les Cimes Bleues also marks the arrival of Alaena in La Baule with its first spa. Conceived as a light-filled refuge, the Alaena Spa naturally extends the hotel's architectural identity. Inspired by the golden hues of the dunes at sunset, it combines natural stone, plant fibers, and warm light in a soothing atmosphere designed by Dorothée Delaye. In the center, an indoor pool adorned with an imposing starfish dialogues with the hotel's gardens. Three treatment rooms, a sauna, a hammam, a tea room, and an outdoor terrace complete this new wellness space.

A new destination on the Côte d'Amour
More than just a hotel opening, Les Cimes Bleues participates in the renewal of La Baule. The address brings together architecture, gastronomy, design, and well-being in one place, while remaining deeply rooted in its territory.
For Alaena, this collaboration is part of a shared vision: to offer experiences where dermatological excellence meets places designed to slow down, rejuvenate, and sustainably preserve skin vitality.
