Comment prévenir l'acné après l'été : 5 gestes essentiels pour une peau nette
"Acne is a chronic condition with significant psychological impact. It is important that it be treated for the benefit of patients and to prevent the occurrence of scars."
Dr. Sylvie Peres, dermatologist and co-founder of Alaena

1 - exfoliate

I recommend a gentle peel 2 to 3 times a week.

The exfoliating action of the peel accelerates cell regeneration. Collagen and hyaluronic acid synthesis are boosted. The skin is more hydrated, plumped, and radiant. This treatment is particularly suitable for dull, mature skin, as well as oily, acne-prone skin.

2 - moisturize

I recommend applying a lighter texture like the Combination Skin Moisturizing Cream which contains a sebum-regulating willow extract that will limit the appearance of imperfections and mattifying tapioca powder.

3 - opt for double cleansing

The cleansing oil will help remove impurities and makeup. In the second step, the cold-process soap will allow the skin to be deeply cleansed while respecting its pH.

4 - Clean up

If pimples appear, do not "squeeze" them; you will get a false impression of effectiveness, you promote infection around them and delay healing. We apply a targeted solution to cleanse the skin, like our anti-blemish solution.

5 - adopt a “beautiful skin” diet

Always adopt a balanced diet of animal or plant proteins, carbohydrates, and lipids, favoring seasonal organic foods rich in carotenoids. By following the seasons, you will change your diet over time, which detoxifies the liver and regulates sebum production.

Have a balanced intake of omega 3, 6, 9 by eating small oily fish (mackerel, sardines, herring) twice a week. In your dishes, vary and mix vegetable oils (olive, rapeseed, flax, hemp, walnut, safflower, camelina, sesame). You cannot produce good sebum without a balanced intake of fatty acids. Avoid milk and dairy products  and gluten, but also of course foods with a high glycemic index (soda, cake, ice cream); anything that promotes general or cutaneous inflammation.
